| Memory is a Pea: a memorial Mixed media interactive sound installation The installation is exhibited in complete darkness except for light from one candle and the glow of the computer screen. Viewers are invited to lie down on the bed. Pressure sensors in the pillow activate playback of dream-like sounds as participants rest and move thier heads on the pillow. The small table to the left of the bed bears a stack of blank visiting cards and a small sign asking participants to write a memory or dream on a card and slip it between the mattresses. Variables from the pressure sensors are displayed in a scrolling text window on the computer screen. © teri rueb | 1997 |
